Dear Support - I have buddypress 1.6.4, buddypress media plugin 2.5.5 running under WP 3.5.1. I'm using a child theme of the buddypress default theme. The URL is http://gpu.getpaidforwhoyouare.com (you can login with a test user: test1 and password test1) I have activated the buddypress media plugin and I can find the "media" tab when viewing a user's profile. I can make Albums, but I cannot upload any media. The upload interface is on the screen, and when I select a photo, for example, to upload, the progress bar appears, as if the media is uploading and the screen refreshes with a yellow box that says "Sorry, no photos were found". The files are only 70kb, so I don't think it's a filesize problem. I suspect a permissions problem - but I'm not sure where the media is supposed to go on my server, as I'm new to buddypress, so I don't know which folders to check to see if they are writeable? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

The uploads fail at times due PHP settings that WordPress overrides in the admin, but BuddyPress Media doesn't. Could you share the error log so we know if something like that is happening?

@Saurabh Shukla thanks for the update, but it didn't help me either. I'm still having the same issue, but now it's worse because the media upload button won't even open to choose media from my local drive (prior to upgrade the button would let me select media, the media just wouldn't upload).

Any idea what @steveo did on their site to get it working? That seems to be working now.
Has any body been able to resolve this yet? BuddyPress Media does exactly what I need for a project I'm involved with & I really want to use it, but as of right now I can't.
Any further insight / help to get this up & running would be greatly appreciated!

My social network uses your plugin. I switched read_exif_data() to exif_read_data() and put in all three parameters. I will try to see why error -200 http error is triggered when someone tries to upload a photo.

Having the same issue everyone prior were talking about. Want to know has this been resolved because I'm seeing this for audio only and not photos. I recently upgraded from 2.7.5 to 2.8.1 which was having this issue also before upgrading.
I'm on a dedicated server and have the upload set to 1024M which shows in the section "drop files here" for Buddypress Media. Initially I had my php settings set like this because I was using a media CMS which had a media conversion server for the past few years and switched back to WP at the end of last year.

Hello, I made a fresh install today with wordpress newest version after that i install buddypress newest version and buddypress media newest version after a not that difficult config of buddypress and buddypress media all is good accept two things i cannot upload mp3 on frontend and when updates come up it freezes klik on button update will not work even refresch of browser will not help. please help.
