How long does the v3 to v4 migration dry run take?

i’m running 5 sites and wanted to upgrade to V4. I ran the dry run and it seems stuck and all the sites can’t connect to the databases.

how long does it take to go through the dry run? how long before i start getting worried?

these are the last output before it seemed to stall:
proc/filesystems
proc/interrupts
proc/iomem
proc/ioports
proc/kallsyms
proc/kcore

EDIT: I’m running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
EDITEDIT: checked the server using the command “TOP” seems rsync is using nearly 100% of the CPU

I’m having the same issue on 16.04, did you manage to resolve it?

not really. i just started a new command line prompt.

rsync eventually stopped doing whatever it was doing. took hours though

seems you have to run the migration script from host:/ and not host:/root/ or host:~
