Blogger Redirects to HomePage, but not specific posts

Thanks @Nitun Lanjewar

I've had Hostgator change this for me but I'm still getting a 401 error HTTP Request Header

Connect to 184.173.210.163 on port 80 ... ok

I appreciate your help on this!

PS I've check the custom fields and it all looks good

I can see the blog.mshanhun.com is still have CNAME record of ghs.google.com which belongs to Google.com. Please check the following points: 1. If your old blogger.com blog URL was blog.mshanhun.com, then no need to import content by changing URL on http://mshanhun.blogspot.com. 2. From which URL you have imported content into WordPress mshanhun.com: blog.mshanhun.com Or http://mshanhun.blogspot.com ? 3. Changes in CNAME record with new hostgator IP address.

Thanks,

1 My old blogger blog is set up in Blogger as mshanhun.blogspot.com which redirects to blog.mshanhun.com (so you see blog.mshanhun.com in the address bar)

2 blog.mshanhun.com

3 I've updated the cnames to the hostgator ip address

The plugin can see imports from mshanhun.blogspot.com and blog.mshanhun.com

What can i do?

2 blog.mshanhun.com

As you have imported the content from this URL then the plugin, you need to add the code generated by our plugin in your blogger.com template. So it will redirect from blog.mshanhun.com to mshanhun.com.

The plugin can see imports from mshanhun.blogspot.com and blog.mshanhun.com

Have you imported the content two times with these both URLs? You need to re-import everything from blogger.com account to WordPress. And make sure to use only blog.mshanhun.com.

OR You can hire our team to resolve all the issues and we will provide you complete migration process.

Ok so it looks like some of the posts don't have the custom fields.

I did import some of the posts about 2 years ago, but never redirected. I'll be in touch

If custom fields are missing for imported posts, then YES. you need to re-import them again.

Ok so I'm trying to work through this myself...

http://mshanhun.com/?b2w=http://blog.mshanhun.com/2011/07/new52-8-gigs-of-ram.html

The HTTP requests are all coming through as ok

The custom fields says blog.mshanhun.com /2011/07/new52-8-gigs-of-ram.html

Which is all correct. BUT the page doesn't redirect to http://mshanhun.com/2011/07/new52-8-gigs-of-ram/ it just returns to the homepage with this in the address bar http://mshanhun.com/?b2w=http://blog.mshanhun.com/2011/07/new52-8-gigs-of-ram.html

Thanks for you help

Sorry about the duplicate posts!

@mshanhun Is the redirection problem is still persist?

Yes - still not working :(

Any suggestions on how to progress?

Oh, Sorry for delayed in my reply. You need to re-import all the content from blogger account into WordPress. Or you may need to manually change the posts.

Ok I'll try that and report back

Hi,

All my settings are as listed within wordpress as you have directed in a few of your posts. The permalinks are correct, I even did the fix.php file and got a DONE return. But my old blogger is still not redirecting to the 1 to 1 post correctly.

I had Hostgator add the 1434234 whitelist for my old blog. meaderingmindseye.blogspot.com The response header from http://web-sniffer.net/ went from a Forbidden error 403 to a 302 not found.

My URLs still look the same: http://www.awakeninlove.com/?b2w=http://meanderingmindseye.blogspot.com/2012/07/marbles-in-nicaragua.html and are redirecting to the home page.

Interestingly, if I type in http://meanderingmindseye.blogspot.com/2012/07/marbles-in-nicaragua.html with the .html I get the link above.

If I remove the .html off the end it redirects to the correct page and looks like this: http://www.awakeninlove.com/2012/07/marbles-in-nicaragua.html

What is going wrong that it still isn’t working properly?

@solada I can see the hostgator support team haven't whitelisted the rewrite_mod from your hosting account. Please get in touch with them for this issue. Thanks.

Hi @Nitun Lanjewar. Do I just mention to them rewrite_mod needs to be whitelisted? I'm not familiar with what that is.

All I read was for that rule to be whitelisted. Thanks!

I talked with hostgator. They said all the rewrite_mod is activated on all my servers. He asked me to ask you - What do I need to put in the .htaccess?

@solada I can still see the http://web-sniffer.net/ showing 403 error. It means the security rules is not whitelisted. Regarding the .htaccess rule, you need to add rules mentioned in this article http://rtcamp.com/tutorials/migrate-from-blogger-to-wordpress-best-diy-tutorial/ . Thanks,
