WHY Does FastCGI Cache Option install W3 Total Cache?

EE offers four caching options: No Cache, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache and FastCGI Cache.

But I’ve discovered whenever I opt for FastCGI Cache, W3 Total Cache is ALWAYS installed. Why is this the case? Is FastCGI dependent on W3TC in any way?

For NGINX fastcgi is used for full page cache and we install w3tc for object and database cache

Then this should probably be named FactCGI Cache + W3TC, as the name is misleading.
