Processing a thumbnail out of the video is not possible on most servers by default. That is why we have created two separate addons for this purpose:
- FFMPEG converter (thumbnail extraction will be released in the next version)
- Kaltura Add-on (connects to a Kaltura account/server install)
Possibly, one of these could satisfy your need and more.
