Just installed the v4 beta, and can’t make any localhost connection to the db, not via command line, not forwarded via ssh, nothing. When I look at the file system in the wp-config.php file, it appears the host is defined as “db”, but that also fails to work. I assume this has something to do with it running inside docker? Can you enlighten me as to how I can make a direct connection to the db, other than using your built in pma instance (which I can’t find config files for in the filesystem)?

Same problem here, on Debian 8. On Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS I don’t have that problem.
Thanks that is useful info. I was on Ubuntu 18.04, so perhaps that is the issue. I will try 16.04.
