Trying to add file types (pdf) , but "rtmedia_allowed_types" not working

Hey there,

I am trying to enable uploads of .pdf and .doc files into rtMedia, but can’t get it to work. Following the directions here (, I have loaded the code from here into my child theme’s functions file, and am not getting any different result.

I have the appropriate file types approved in the network settings. I tried this with all plugins removed, and with the default BuddyPress theme, but no luck. The site is private, but I can send an access URL if you provide an email address to send it to.
