I would like for Buddypress to create a page that displays all media uploaded by the users. Perhaps with a video section,photo section and audio section. Only media that the user sets as public or/and media submitted would be displayed but all media requires approval from the admin. Users can also submit media in to existing categories for example celebrities or Elton John. This media page would also serve as a pubic submission page with public submission being an optional setting. Allowing importing photos from nextgen or the server would also be great.

A couple of other users have also asked for this. Although this is not in our immediate roadmap, we'll definitely consider adding it soon.

Now, since BuddyPress Media uses WordPress's default media features, there's a workaround, as explained in the link.
