rtMedia was working and now it’s disappeared from the topic section
It’s difficult to say what the problem is, since your description was so vague. Could you provide some specifics? Perhaps a screenshot? What happens if you go to wp-admin->Settings->Permalinks and click “Save”? Did you change something on your site? Did you update some other plugin? Did you add new plugins? What happens with just BuddyPress and rtMedia activated as plugins? Does it work on the default TwentyFifteen theme but not on your normal theme? Help us help you! Provide some info.

The only plugin I have installed is OptinMonster. I uninstalled it and tried again and the upload media was still not available (on the left) but if I go into my member profile I can attach files.

Attachment support in bbpress is part of rtMedia-Pro addon. It is not available with rtMedia free version.
