I think you have enabled Direct Upload setting, because of that once you upload a media in activity, it will directly post it. Either you can disable Direct Upload setting from backend ( refer https://rtmedia.io/docs/settings/display/#direct-upload ) or first add some text in activity post box and then start uploading media.
