Newbie here, site is running fast with 2.5k uniques on $5 digitalocean VPS (nginx,redis,hhvm) but I don’t think caching is working properly.
I am getting 2.5-5s load times

It seems you are using cloudflare. Cloudflare has it’s own cache.
What command did you use while creating site?
ee site create example.com --wpsubdomain --wpredis --hhvm
Between that I experimented with pagespeed but it caused more problems then good so I turned it off.
Yes, I am using cloudflare, so that makes redis useless ?
In network admin panel your plugin shows redis as working.
