Multiple WordPress installations on the same domain (virtual host)

How I can install multiple WordPress installations for the same domain? So the setup is like this:

I am aware of WordPress multisite setup but I absolutely hate it and would like to avoid it if possible. If that is the only and the best solution I might consider it but would like to live without it as it usually makes more problems than it helps.
