Why does my media gallery look like this? How can i fix it?

Could you try checking the same again with default WordPress themes? And for your current theme, if it isn’t supportive you could use rtMedia templates. Check out http://docs.rtcamp.com/rtmedia/developer/themes/templating-system/

I have tried the default templates, same thing.
I even tried the functions.php code and the styles.css code found on the link you sent me. No luck. I have my site set to the default Twenty twelve now.

I guess you haven’t uploaded any media in your site. What exactly is the issue you are facing with media gallery?
