Let's encrypt subdomain on different server?

Hi,

I have been using let’s encrypt quite a bit however have ran into some issues when hosting subdomain on a different server to the main domain. I have another A record pointing to my subdomain.

However when I try using let’s encrypt when creating a sub domain site I get an error. If I do the same thing on the server that holds the main domain I get no issues.

Any ideas?

Point www.sub.domain.com to the same IP and be happy.
