Issues after migration

Had a WordPress site up and running just fine with EasyEngine on a different server. Followed the steps in the migration guide with no problems and got the site running on the new server.

However, after the migration (with nothing else changed) the I am now prompted to enter FTP credentials for wordpress plugin installation, after not having to do this previously on the old server.

Is there a better way to migrate it, or did I do something wrong?

Its permission issue on your server. try this:

chown -R www-data: /var/www/example.com

replace example.com with your site name
