Install on nginx, php & WP, and mysql on separate servers

#1

Hi rtCamp,

Using EasyEngine, can I install:

Server 1: nginx, alone, with the Wordpress MU subdomain & FastCGI_Cache
Server 2: php & WordPress
Server 3: MySQL

Or would this all have to be done manually?

I see that I can install just nginx, but not sure if that includes the WP MU config as stated above. I also saw that I can install only MySQL using EasyEngine.

How can I install nginx with WP MU subdomain & fastcgi_cache config while installing WordPress and PHP on a separate server?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance,
Helms

Ooops sorry, I meant…

Server 1: nginx & PHP, with the WordPress MU subdomain & FastCGI_Cache config
Server 2: WordPress (plan to use this server as a GlusterFS)
Server 3: MySQL

I don’t believe EasyEngine is set up for installing with your type of configuration. However, if you still wanted to maintain the functionality of using ‘ee’ commands to manage your WP installs, then you could install EasyEngine on server #2, and modify your nginx, php, and mysql config files afterwards to communicate across multiple servers. I have not done this with ee before, so I don’t know if you would also need to change some EasyEngine configs or if they automatically pull connection info from the config files. You may need to fork the repo and do some customizing first.
