How to update cache method with custom sql

I’m trying to change cache method for a site that was migrated according to the docs best practice.

How ever when trying to run ee site update mysite.com --wp --wpfc to change cache / or in my case add cache the mysql cannot connect. It tries to connect as root even though I’m using a custom sql user/db name (added the ee way).

Is there any way to pass custom mysql login credentials with the ee site update command?

Thanks for your hard work, I’m really seeing easyengine being a part of my future workflow.

EDIT: Nevermind, this has been resolved I just noticed it worked when running as root

@zamson Hi,

If i am not wrong, you are not using root mysql user??

You need to update ~/.my.cnf file in case you have to use custom mysql credentials.

Hello @zamson

It’s been a long time, and we haven’t heard from you. It looks like your issue is resolved.
