How to add media while posting an activity

Hi guys, I would like to be able to add media while posting an update. Another way to put this is that I would like to add a textarea to the media screen to allow users to quickly add a quick info about the media they are uploading. I know I can edit the media after uploading. But what I need to do is attach description that will show in the activity stream along with the media. I hope you can point me in the right direction. I played with it for a while but got nowhere.

Hi,

We get that a lot. This is by far the most highly demanded feature. We also want to implement this but we are waiting for BuddyPress 1.7. If that doesn't happen very soon, we have a Plan B that we will start implementing.
