Get rid of BuddyPress photos profile menu item?

I’m looking at rtMedia for a social network site I’m working on. It appears rtMedia adds a Media item to the user profile menu in addition to the Photos menu item; so they end up with two menu items that do similar things.

Is there a setting I’m not seeing that will allow the rtMedia submenu to appear rather than the default Photos menu?

I guess there’s no answer from the community. I’ve written to rtCamp that it’s bad user interface design to have a “Photos” option twice in the profile menu structure. Will have to use an add_action in functions.php to do this, I guess.
