FTP account for site created using EE

I’m having trouble trying to get an FTP account set up to access a site created using EasyEngine. I tried following the instructions from here:

But after going through those steps, I tried to connect, and the FTP connection just times out. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Hello, Can you provide me your auth logs, while you connect using sftp tail /var/log/auth.log so that i can help you.

I think I figured out my issue after looking at that log file (it had no record of trying to connect as the new user), I think I just forgot to set it to use SFTP when I tested the login, which it needed to be. I tried again with it set to SFTP and it worked this time. Thanks for pointing me to the log file.
