Fastcgi_cache and ramdisk

I have just discovered EE and would like to use ramdisk for the Fastcgi_cache. There is som instructions about this in the docs, but it is unfortunately too unspecific for me. Could someone provide me with a step-to-step guide for this?

Best regards,

hi @hk0001,

you can refer this link

But by default in EE all site cache at /var/run/ location.

Thanks! So there is no additional steps I need to do? I thought that actually creating the ramdisk required another step?

No ,there is no additional step you need to do.

Well, the link you mentioned seems to be redundant. From what I can see, with the lastest version of EE, it all comes pre-configured when I choose to:

ee site create mydomain.com --wpfc

Looking at the created /nginx/sites-available/mydomain.com there are these lines:

include common/wpfc.conf;
include common/wpcommon.conf;
include common/locations.conf;

taking care of all the steps described in your URL. Otherwise the instructions on your URL will just create error messages.

It would be great if this was mentioned in full in the documentation.

@hk0001

I guess you missed the note above for EasyEngine users.

Hi @hk0001

It’s been a long time, and we haven’t heard from you. It looks like your issue is resolved.
