I’ve followed the instructions to the best of my ability including reverting to classic template, but when I click the link generated by the “Verify Configuration” button, I get “Error 403 - Forbidden”. Now, what do I do? I need to post over the weekend!

Please confirm with webhosting support, if they are using mod_security for your hosting account.
I spoke to our WP Host and they cannot turn mod_security off our it will affect other things. What else can be done? We need to post tomorrow morning and need links to be operational moving forward.
In that case, you may need to change hosting account.
