EE4 Admin Tools

Hi,

I’d like to start with a big thank you to the whole team behind EasyEngine for all the hard work involved in version 4. I started testing it a few days ago and I like what I see so far.

I’ve come across an issue where I cannot access EE Admin Tools in EE4-RC1. I’ve created a new WP site with the global_db and no caching. I then created the ee auth credentials and enabled admin tools for the site. When I visit [the_website.tld]/ee-admin/, I am prompted with the ee auth created previously and it redirects me to the home page of the website.

I’ve checked and the ee-admin folder in my website is empty. There is a directive in the nginx-proxy container for my website.

The issue seems related to https://github.com/EasyEngine/easyengine/issues/1013 but I can’t fix it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Tim, unfortunately I do not have a solution to this but wanted to use your topic to let people know that this issue is not an isolated event.

I have the exact same problem. I’ve tried reinstalling easyengine 4, deactivating admin-tools and reactivating them again several times but to no avail.

When loading the page via the …/ee-admin/ url it prompts for a password but then just loads whatever page is set at front page in wp.

@verry @timl Thanks for reporting the issue. This issue is known and will be fixed in 2nd RC.

Thank you, it makes me feel better. @kirtan, do you have the issue number to follow it?

@timl The PR has already been merged - https://github.com/EasyEngine/dockerfiles/pull/52/

Although it just mentions about mailhog, it also fixes ee-admin issue in it. We didn’t create an issue for this one as we found out the solution within a hour of finding it.
