Continuing the discussion from Monitor bandwidth and connections per vhost:
Although I didn’t fix the issue, I was able to “reset” my nginx install so that EE can see it again, by doing these steps:
- turn on debugging:
ee debug --all
- act as root user:
su(then enter root password)
- (while root)
ee site create test1.com --wp
This caused EasyEngine to reinstall NGINX with the original configs.
EDIT: I realized I did something dumb and didn’t check what NGINX modules were already installed with EasyEngine. As it turns out, the lua module is installed by default, so there was no need for me to go messing around with
apt-get install nginx-extras. Thus, there wasn’t any need to customize NGINX.
