Chinese URL - ee could not create user

Hi all! Has anybody here tried to create a site in EE4 that has a Chinese URL? I tried but got following:

Warning: Could not create user xn–i8sr08eygf.香港-3EBL0q

Any one have experience with Chinese or other double-byte character domains? Thanks!
