Change /var/www/yoursite

#1

Hi,

I’ve setup a server on a VPS, and after changing the DNS records to mysite.com, I’ve updated the settings in sites-available.

Everything is working, but under /var/www/ and in /etc/nginx/sites-available it still list the IP of the server instead of mysite.com. I’ve tried messing with it logically, but it just returns a 404, so I’m forced to change it back.

How do I change it?

Thanks

What do you use the command, when you create a website?

how are you creating a site with an IP?

1st setup your DNS.

Delete your sites you created with IP addresses

Then create the site with ee site create domainname.com --php7 etc…

I would not want those kinds of problems from the beginning of a site creation.
