I have a vps running ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bit and I entered the command wget -qO ee rt.cx/ee && sudo bash ee and nothing happens after that. Why won’t it install easyengine?

There was a bug present at the time you posted your question.
In case you haven’t tried again, it should be working now.
