Can we remove the X-Powered-By: EasyEngine

Hi,

I noticed that the default identification that servers show on the X-Powered-By: EasyEangine v3.x field at located at /etc/nginx/nginx.conf

I’m ok with this and on most of my servers I will leave this un-changed because I want for EasyEngine to be used as much as possible to become even better!

But there are some “special” servers that host very secure content and on these servers I would like to change the X-Powered-By to something like just: “Linux” for example.

The objective is related with security in order to hide and make a little bit more difficult to identify that server is using EasyEngine.

So about this I have 2 questions:

1- Is it allowed to change the X-Powered-By to whatever we want? Or is not allowed by EasyEngine team or license?

2- By changing this value will cause any kind of problems, like for example when updating EasyEngine?

Thanks

  1. You can change it to whatever you like.
  2. No problems or issues but after updating EE you will have to do the first one again.
