PMA root password

Hello,

Anyone knows where I can find the root password for phpMyadmin? It was located at /etc/mysql/conf.d/my.cnf in EEv3. Now I can’t find it.

Why is it so difficult for some people to look at forum history?

Why is it so difficult to read the question carefully? Sir I’m not asking for db config file. I’m looking for my.cnf file which contains db root password. It is located at /etc/mysql/conf.d/my.cnf in EE3. It’s different from /etc/mysql/my.cnf that you were talking about. Thank you.

I rest my case.

@seyntjim Did you check https://easyengine.io/handbook/admin-tools/ ?

It has " Database Access for PhpMyAdmin" section. Let me know if you need help after that also. :slight_smile:

@rahul286 Thanks! Finally found it!

Can we still be able to use this tutorial, https://easyengine.io/tutorials/mysql/mycnf-preference/ so we don’t always have to provide user and pass every time we run mysql commands?

We will recommend using wp db query <mysql-query> once you are inside ee shell <site>

You may also follow method in https://easyengine.io/tutorials/mysql/mycnf-preference/
