I have setup ee cron to run on the host
but for some reason, they don’t run
if I use
ee cron run-now
they run but they don’t run when scheduled, that is a bummer
Did anyone encounter these issues?

There have been some compete discussions on SSL renewals and cron. Check the link SSL doesnt update. While this is mostly about SSL renewals, the path statements might be the fix you need to get the crons to run on their own.
